I have configured mu connection according to instructions and it doesn’t work! Something is wrong with your servers!

There is very little chance that you are right and that something is wrong with our server. Statistics show that it is true in less than 1% of the cases. So, our respected user, check once again if you configured your connection according to instructions.


I always receive message to check password and try again, but my password is ok.

If you are 100% sure that your connection parameters are configured properly and that the password is correct (check if Caps Lock is turned off), it can mean only one thing: your account is locked. Reasons for that could be: expired user hours, or prohibited behavior when using our system (disrupting other users). Also, the problem could be irregularely set the Security option in connection Properties. Password must be set to option Alow unsecure password, and that applies to all NT systems (NT4, win2k i XP).


When I access Internet everything but Web is working perfectly.

These problems emerge because of badly configured Proxy Server parameter. BeotelNet don’t have PROXY and it should be disabled.


I have a connection, but I can’t see any presentation or receive e-mail.

In most cases the reason is a bad network configuration, ie. collision of network protocols. Click on "MyComputer -> ControlPanel -> Network". Unles your PC is on a local network, ie. has a lan card, in the networks drivers list should be only three options: "Client for Microsoft Networks" (in W98 "Microsoft Familly logon"), "DialUp Adapter" (only one) and "TCP/IP (for DialUp Adapter)" (only one). You can remove everything else by selecting unwanted option and pressing "Remove" button. (You don’t need "Client for Microsoft Networks - Familly logon" as well). The reason could be enabled Proxu server (disable it).


Server doesn’t allow me to check the mail, I receive the massage ”Invalid password”.
If your connection to the Internet broke while you were receiving messages, due to irregular interuption it is not possible to access your mail account for another 10 to 15 minutes. Wait for a while and logon again. If you were changing password when the connection broke, and mail client still has your old password, you won't be able to access mail server. The solution is to erase saved password and enter a new one.

When I logon through other providers I can’t check balance of the account and/or change password.

Exactly. You can check balance of the account and change password only if you logon through our access lines for safety reasons.


Can I use CGI scripts on my personal Web presentation?

Yes and no. You can use public CGI scripts, such as counter and FormMail, but you can’t use your own, for safety reasons. Companies that want to use CGI scripts on their bussines presentations should contact webmasteru.


What is the meaning of data in the table of telephone calls? Why there are different phone numbers from which the connection was established?

There are two possibilities:

  • you are connecting through analog telephone lines and system can’t locate your call
  • somebody else is using your account

In the second case, if you are sure that you didn’t give your password to somebody voluntarily, change it as soon as possible and contact our technical support. They will give you further instructions on how to protect yourself in the future.


Somebody is stealing my user hours. How is that possible? What do I do?

First make sure that it is true. If it is obvious, get one of the latest versions of ativirus software as soon as possible. Protect your PC, than logon and change your password. Everyone who has your password and knows your username can use your account.


I forgot my password, what do I do?

You have to come personaly to one of our points of sale (Belgrade, Niš, Novi Sad, Pančevo) and we will give you a new one. Don’t forget to bring some document with your picture in it to prove your identity. Telephone requests for changing password are not possible.
